installed file size = 0

I have been having this problem with a few of my installs, sometimes when I build the install (Single File) I will end up with a file that installed with a file size = 0. It happened about 3 times out of probably 50 builds to a .zip file I was installing but I wasn't to worried about it because all I had to do was rebuild the install and it worked but now I have 5 different installs that it happens to the same file everytime I build and I have no idea what could be causing it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I am using InstallAware 9 sp1.070409.

Dear Lin,

Could you please explain exactly what you are referring to by "installed file size = 0"?

I have an .exe that I include in the install, the original file size of the .exe is 508 KB but when I build the install with that file included and then test the install that .exe that gets installed has a file size of 0 KB

Dear Lin,

Basically you are saying that the EXE you are installing with InstallAware is deployed as an empty file?
Are you sure that you are installing the file from the right location?

Dear Lin,

I built your installer on my machine and I did not experience your problem. The installed file size was the same as the original file (484 KB).

I sent you the installer I built here - please test it out on your machine and let me know.

Hi All,
I'm trying your software and during the testing I have the same Lin's problem. So the issue is that I have an '.chm' file that I include in the install, the original file size of the '.chm' file is 21.554 KB but when I build the install with that file included and then test the install that '.chm' that gets installed has a file size of 0 KB.

Please let me know because i would like to buy it very soon.
