Task Tray icon question

When IA presents the notification that a new version is available in the task tray, it uses the installer's icon. Is there some way that we could use an animated icon instead? If we use the animated icon, would that icon appear on the user's desktop if they put the installer on the desktop? In other words, is only one supported?
