Re: Desktop shortcut not running as Administrator

Hi Francesco, After your comment about the "Shortcut Sample" application, I decided to look closely at the code and compare it with mine and I found the fix. After the "Main Install" label this code is placed by default by the New Project Wizard: if Variable ALLUSERS Equals TRUE ...

Re: IA TFS Check in issue...

Thanks Francesco.

One more note, this is the first time I try using IA with TFS.

I use TFS with all my Visual Studio Projects daily.

Re: Desktop shortcut not running as Administrator

Hi Francesco, By the way, did you try to run the "Shortcuts sample"? I used that project to test your code ... and it works. I just did and it worked too on my both VM, which means that something is wrong with my installation setup. I have no idea what may be wrong with my setup, I created...

Re: Desktop shortcut not running as Administrator

Hi Francesco, Did you try on the same build number I have? This is very weird since the shortcuts created on other locations are properly elevated. I tested this on my 2 virgin VM as well as on the end users computers on another network and in all instances the desktop shortcut is not elevated, very...

Re: Writing to Wow6432 registry on 64bit Windows...

Hi Francesco, Thanks for the link on the "PURPLE COMMANDS" very good even though not straight answer on how to deal with my current issue. I found a way to do this by using the NATIVE ENGINE and then manually deleting the keys when uninstalling, here is the code: Create Registry Keys: Comm...

Re: Cannot search on the forums, get 404 errors

I get the same Error 404 when I search. I am in the US. Well, thanks for testing this, it is a good news, in a sense that now it is confirm they have some sort of DNS problem and can start doing more testing from other points. Francesco if you need remote access to test this directly from a USA ISP...

Re: Cannot search on the forums, get 404 errors

Hi Francesco, Thanks for the prompt response. That is very weird situation, I have turned off my firewall and tried with 3 browsers and always got the same 404 error. I also tried remotely from another computer with another network and got the same 404 error. Maybe a DNS issue since it is working on...

Hi all, I am trying to search in the forums several times in the last couple of days, and all I get is a Google 404 error. See the image attached.
