Re: Uninstall of program erasing entire hard drive?!

Dear Chris_DMG,

Is it possible that your uninstall script has a bug and it deletes your files? You could also attach that script here or send it to support@installaware.com

Re: Web Update ... Patch ...

Another point worth mentioning - if your patch does not practically require admin privileges (for example if it does not change files that require escalated privileges such as files in the windows folder or the page file) you could simply manually write what you want the patch to do and not have it ...

Re: Web Update ... Patch ...

Dear atg,

I believe that this behavior is a result of your windows group policies; you should be able to permit/deny this behavior by changing your group policies. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Re: How to debug uninstall?

Dear ParallaxiT, It can really be anything - perhaps you got the file names wrong, or maybe the files are in use and therefore cannot be removed. Please try to debug the uninstall process, it will probably be a lot more helpful than my guesses :) Please let me know if that helped. Regards, Aviv Gila...

Re: How to debug uninstall?

Dear ParallaxiT, I just tried the steps you are describing and it works for me. What happens is that the second time you run the installer in debug mode, a window comes up that gives you an option to either modify, repair or uninstall your program. Make sure you are not missing anything - your "...

Re: Web Update ... Patch ...

Dear atg,

Did you encounter this problem before? Or did it only occur after using Andy's script?

Re: \"Out of memory\"

Dear Obliterator,

I was not able to reproduce the situation you are depicting in-house. Can you attach (or send to support@installaware.com) the project you are working on along with instructions on how to reproduce this situation?

Thanks,
Aviv Giladi

Re: Multi Language Support Mobile Device support

Dear shingo, You can simply create your own "language selection" dialog, show it as your first dialog, and then set the LANGUAGE variable to the selected language. I found this example for you: http://installaware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4267 You can download the Localization fil...

Re: Cant compile project with latest build

Dear rkcarlin,

Your problem is in line 105 of your PhiCube Analyzer4.mia file.
You have there, inside the wizard loop, an if action, however only display dialog actions are allowed inside a wizard loop.

Re: Channg "Product Version" at compile Time..

Dear ecarbone,

In order to dynamically set the product version at compile time try and set the VERSION variable to #BUILDVERSION# in the MSI code.

You can refer to this thread for more information:
