IA X6 Wildcard Matching Problems
I'm using the newest version of IA X6 downloaded from the website yesterday. When trying to do a web install with any run times i get the following error: ERROR! No files matching wildcard pattern C:\PROGRA~2\INSTAL~1\INSTAL~1\runtimes\netfx_core_x64\*.* I have tried clean reinstalling multiple time...

Re: Installing VC++ 11.0 (2012) Runtime incomplete
Hi Francesco, I didn't see your reply. I'm running IA15. Is this a known bug? Can you tell me how you're installing VC++2012? The scrip shows this: Set Variable PROGRESSTEXT to Installing Microsoft Visual C++ Minimum Runtime 11.0 (includes ATL) Set Variable VC11FILES_X86 to Define File Bag : #IADIR#...

Re: Installing VC++ 11.0 (2012) Runtime incomplete
I was able to successfully install this if I added the exe to the resource files and launch it directly.
However, this pops up an additional (external) GUI and makes the Installer a bit clunky.
I would still like to be able to run this internally.

Installing VC++ 11.0 (2012) Runtime incomplete
I'm using InstallAware 15 Studio. I've been installing the VC++ 10.0 (2010) runtime for some time now, that works fine. When I added the VC++ 2012 runtime, InstallAware detects that it is not installed on the system (by checking the atl110.dll and mfc110.dll in the system32 folder) and goes through ...

Re: Unable to "Run Program"
My mistake. My development machine was returning an error code because the update was not applicable. My test VM was unable to run the program because the test build I did had an incorrect variable. Is there a way to log messages for setup?

Unable to "Run Program"
I'm using InstallAware 15 Studio. I've tried to launch a Microsoft .Net 4 Reliability Update (KB2600217) from InstallAware. It fails to launch the program and return a -11 (whatever that means). How do I find what the return code means? Here's the program I'm trying to launch: http://support.microso...

Re: Recommended way to include windows update in the install
Is this still a valid way to include a windows update during an installation? I'm running Install Aware 15. Is there an easier way using web media blocks perhaps?

Re: Add/Remove Program Entry
I've attached an image that argues otherwise. My Add/Remove Programs list has two of the same application name with two separate revisions/uninstallers. How can we do something similar?

Re: Add/Remove Program Entry
One application is a new/improved version of the other. We need to support both applications on one machine though...so I changed the PRODUCTCODE and the installation directory of the new version. At install-time, the user can uninstall old versions or keep it around. We work in an industry where ha...

Oops. I mis-typed. The product codes are different...the application names are the name.

Re: Add/Remove Program Entry
I have an application with two different $PRODUCTCODE$ variables, but with the same Application name. In the windows "Add/Remove Programs" list, only the most recently installed application appears. Is this expected behavior? As far as I know, the only similarity between these two installa...

Re: Old Product ID won't install next to new Product ID
I opened the .mpr file as text to see how changing the Product Code affects the file. As it turns out, there's another (non-specified) Product Code under the Product Code I expected. What generates this product code? How can I change it (without manually manipulating the .mpr text)? Also, I tried &q...

Re: Old Product ID won't install next to new Product ID
Shouldn't a unique Product Code differentiate these applications (versions)?
