Re: Extract 7Zip does not work
I posted an example of how IA v10 fails to extract a zip archive on youtube.

Extract 7Zip does not work
Version is InstallAware 10. The only way this will work is if the archive format is .7z. This does not work with any other archive format, and doesn't even really matter if it uses the LZMA compression method. Simply has to be a .7z archive. The documentation is misleading about this, and does not s...

Re: Merge Script (MIA Script merging)
Thx for the reply. I believe I understand the difference between how regular copy works, and how copy in the InstallAware Editor works. I was wondering if the following can be done: Copy text from a text file (for example, somescript.mia.txt, which IA has an option to write human readable text, like...

Merge Script (MIA Script merging)
Hi, I was wondering how other users of InstallAware merge their mia scripts. What I mean is, if you have two developers, each working on a different version of the same InstallAware project, how can you in the future merge the differences? I know IA provides .txt files and we can easily merge those,...

Re: Load Picture dynamically into dialog
Another question would be whether or not you can change the icon dynamically or at least at compile time. And also, other project settings like product contact details, help link, product information url, etc. These of course set in the project options. Some have a compiler variable, like: Publisher...

Re: Load Picture dynamically into dialog
If I could at least at compile time specify a particular image to use in a dialog it would be good enough. It seems in InstallAware you have to create a different dialog for each graphic.

Load Picture dynamically into dialog
Hi,
I'm wondering if there are any versions of IA that allow you to load a picture into the dialog at runtime.
I only know how to change the picture using the dialog editor and then compiling.
My company currently has a license for InstallAware 8.
Thanks
