Hello,
Should I contact you directly? Do you still have problems reproducing the bug?
I am really blocked... We have bought an update and cannot use it because of this bug.
Best regards,
adi

Re: Creating IIS applications changes the Web Site root path
Hello, This is very strange. Did you get my answer to your email and tried after that? Or my email got lost? Anyway - from the very beginning - how to reproduce the problem: 1. Download the IISBug - sources.zip - http://forums.installaware.com/download/file.php?id=517 2. Extract the zip file somewhe...

Re: Creating IIS applications changes the Web Site root path
Hello sinan, Thank you for your quick answer. When I load it up here, I see the standard Multi Instance template project. Maybe you forgot to save the project before zipping it up for us? I've attached my screen shot for your convenience. Indeed I did something wrong (zipping before saving is most p...

Re: Creating IIS applications changes the Web Site root path
adi, The project you attached is a Multiple Instance sample project and has nothing to do with IIS.. Hello, Have you really taken a look at it? Here is what you should see after opening the project (I've double checked it btw.): Project.jpg As you can see - it's the standard "Multiple Instance...

Re: Creating IIS applications changes the Web Site root path
adi, As a work around to this, you can manually remove your IIS application before entering a reinstallation - is that an option for you? Hello, So you confirm the bug? The solution you proposed is not an option - I have no influence on what our customers are doing. The easiest work around is to re...

Re: Creating IIS applications changes the Web Site root path
adi, This doesn't reproduce with the IIS template in IA. Hello, It is my fault - I am sorry. The bug can be reproduced only if you create IIS application (and not IIS Virtual Directory like in the attached example). I was testing both and attached the wrong one to the report. Could you please attac...

Re: Side by side installation of InstallAware
It is not unprofessional to have two different machines running two different versions of IA. Any development platform version, in proper quality assurances practices, should be kept separate from one another. Unless you have each version installed on separate drives, or in two different VMs, then ...

Creating IIS applications changes the Web Site root path!
Hello, I have found a serious bug in IA12. Creating IIS applications changes the root path of the whole Web Site if the given application already exists. The bug must have been introduced in IA10/IA11 since in IA9 it works good. The result of this behavior is a completely broken Web Site / IIS. How ...

Re: Side by side installation of InstallAware
adi, The InstallAware's installer is built with InstallAware, so just like your program can't be installed twice, so too InstallAware can't be. You are wrong. My program can be installed twice using InstallAware! You even provide an example on how to do this (project sample). I've spend the whole d...

Side by side installation of InstallAware
Hello, Why can't I install two InstallAware versions on the same machine? This is very unprofessional, side by side installation should be offered by default (in the end it's a product for software developers, and not end users). Do you guarantee 100% backward compatibility with previous versions? M...

Re: IIS AccessFlags on a IIsWebDirectory
But is there a way to do the same thing with a sub-folder inside my virtual directory? I have tried the following command but it’s always returns: !Error! Get IIS Folder Property "AccessFlags" into variable IISRIGHTS from site #1/myvirtualdir/subdir Ps: I’m using IA9 and IIS6.0 I run into...

Re: Run .Net Installer Class not working on Windows 2008 R2
Hello,
In my case the .NET 4.0 has nothing to do with the problem. I am using 3.5 SP1 only (always with the most recent patches).
Running the installutil.exe directly works all the time so the problem must be somewhere inside the IA.
Best regards,
adi
