It makes total sense and i bet I know why mine fails to do the uninstall. I modified my installer to not advertise (i think thats what its called), and not show the majority of windows upon install. OK, here is what I did. 1. Deployment Type - UnCompressed Directory Layout 2. Debug Build - Checked 3. Compression - None 4. Output - unchcecked 'Change revision code automatically' 5. If I uncheck that setting, what do i click next to fire the uninstall. I am not in front of my machine right now so bear with me, I know i have a Start Debug button which starts the installer. I am also trying to figure out why my files and registry settings are not being un-installed. I install using debug mode and i can step through no problem. But how do i start the uninstall process. If i click debug it just upgrades the program but never hits the Apply Uninstall section. Any help?! T...

I have tried using the versioning 0.8.77.01 ... 0.8.77.02 etc
also 0.8.77 ... 0.8.78 etc

Is there a standard for InstallAware? What does the update look to? 3 levels or 4?

I just created two packages, and a patch. Uploaded the patch to the web server along with the updates.ini created when i made the update packs etc. Ran update service and all ran fine, instyalled patch with no problem. Ran update service again and it should come back and say "No Updates Found&q...

didn't work.

Write Registry only actually writes after an apply install is called. So i added a second apply install after i call the writes and still no luck.

Any help?!

This should be quick i hope. I set a variable in the updates script based on a condition found When control comes back to the main script and Apply Patch is called i want to be able to write this variable to the registry but i have no idea how to reference it. Is this possible? And how if so Cheers
