Re: Strange transparency on Windows 11

I investigated this more. Our installer dialogs are customized from the IA supplied Aero dialogs. Each dialog has the VistaGlass control in the upper left corner. It's causing the problem when the built installer is run on Win 11. When I changed the control's GlassEnabled property from True to False...

Re: Strange transparency on Windows 11

We are seeing a similar issue, but just top area of the dialogs, under the title bar. The screenshot is a dialog on top of this topic page. We are using InstallAware X15 Build 8.1.2022 (Nene Hatun). It's happened with installers built using Windows 11 (my dev pc) and Windows 10 Pro (our build pc).

Can X15 be installed using the 7zip files saved during a previous install

I have installed X15 (32.10) on my development PC using the web based installer. While doing so, I used the option to save the various component files that were downloaded during the install, as needed to install the modules I selected for install. I've done regression testing, which looks good, and...

Getting System Cannot find the path specified error while running single file installer

I'm trying to install 32.10 on our build vm. I'm using the single file installer because the web based installer kept failing during a module download. I went thru the initial dialogs, selected custom install and a subset of components, then when it starts the actual install an error message display...

Re: Plugin to install fonts (Freeware)

I have been trying to download mdPLUGINS for InstallAware 2.0.7 this afternoon. When I click on the Download hyperlink on this web page https://www.installaware.de/EN/Products/mdPLUGINS-for-InstallAware/mdplugins-for-installaware.html in Chrome, nothing happens. In firefox, I got an error with messa...

Re: Problems upgrading build machine to IA15

Thanks for the pointer. But, after the hours of downloading the full install, it's telling me the file is corrupt or the password is incorrect. I don't think I mistyped the password 3 times, so it's probably corrupt. I'll try downloading in the evening or over the weekend. I guess this will teach me...

Problems upgrading build machine to IA15

I upgraded my development PC to IA 15 back on June 1, 2013. I have the InstallAware_15.exe I used and my licensing exe. I have a studio license. I'm trying to upgrade my build machine now. When running InstallAware_15.exe I am 2 for 2 at being told a component cannot be downloaded. Do you have any g...

Re: Side by Side installation

Halleluiah. I've hit this "blank" error intermittently for 2-3 years now. Spent hours on it before and was never able to resolve the problem. Before I was always able to tell my users - don't do that. Today I found myself in a situation where I could not tell them, don't do that. I've spen...

I was hoping to locate an "official" msi from InstallAware or Sun vs using something I dug out. But if nothing surfaces, I'll go this route.

Where can I find an msi file for java jre 1.6.0_10

I just found the Java Setup Template. I see by default it supplies jre-6u1-windows-i586-p.msi. My application requires java jre 1.6.0_10. I'd like to simply swap out the supplied msi for 1.6.0_1 with the msi for 1.6.0_10. Sounds simple and quick but I've looked around on the internet, mainly on Sun ...

I forgot to say in my first append that I'm using installaware 6.6. No reply yet probably means - multiple sets of radio buttons on the same dialoge is: 1) simple/trival to do, I've just overlooked something 2) something reasonable to try and do, but no one who looks at this forum knows how to do it...
