thank you for your response. I tested the installation a bit more, including running the setup in a virtual machine.
It seemed that I did not wait long enough. When I do wait 10 to 20 minutes, setup completes and the files are deleted.
So you can ignore the post.

I've created a custom dialog with a PTShellTree control. Setting the initial folder also works fine.
Is it possible, that the initial start folder is the root folder.
The aim is, that the user can only choose a folder below the initial folder?
